Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY : Reporting to the Shelter Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining effective animal care protocol and procedures
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
• Feeding, bathing, grooming, exercising and care of animals
• General cleaning and disinfecting of premises and equipment
• Laundry duties, customer service
• Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Animal transfers as required
• Computer knowledge required
• Filling in for other shelter assistants as required
• The successful candidate will be required to work weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Team player and good judgement
• Valid G Class Driver’s License and maintenance of a clean driver record
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Completion of OSSD
